Loose Luggage Logo
Adam Sjoberg, the golden eyed photographer and enthusiastic world traveler, recently asked if I would create a logo for his newly updated photography blog, Loose Luggage. The logo was inspired by author John Steinbeck who saw himself as “a lumbering soul but trying to fly”. Steinbeck signed his letters with a pigasus logo and the Latin motto Ad Astra Per Alia Porci, which translates “To the stars on the wings of a pig.” Adam wanted a sophisticated logo, which was an interesting challenge considering a pigasus is very whimsical in nature. I decided to hand sketch the pigasus, which gave the logo an excellent etching like texture. Oink, oink, oui, oui, c’est si bon!
