Wanting to communicate the craft and care this company puts into each project I created a wood block look. These energizer bunny brothers recently started up a weekly project called The Brothers Riedell which they upload a video each Wednesday … and … well, I’ll just let them introduce themselves …

For this years Christmas production I was asked to illustrate a children’s book. Yes, you are correct, I was jazzed out of my mind. The story follows the wondering trails of a lonely dog named Chloe who only wanted one thing for Christmas … a family! Here are a couple of images to give you a taste. Also, for those coloring kids out there … click on the last image to download a coloring page based off of the happy ending of this book, that’s right … Chloe finds a family! Merry Christmas!

The works of Jenny Louie. Clever, childlike, complex, straightforward, perplexing, mind flexing, cute, sour … these are all words that come to my mind when I experience a drawing by Jenny. I see science, nature, exploration, frustration, and GRAND imagination in her art. Once upon a time we worked together at a print shop and I would regularly ask her to draw me something, anything, and she would do likewise. Many moons later, new jobs, different locations, but we still ask each other for drawings. Jenny recently launched her website jennylouie.com and I was honored when she asked me to draw a tiger for her “about” page. After many questions about who this tiger is (friendly, scary, moving, sleeping, waking, dreaming) he emerged …

Each summer the youth of TFH venture out to the woods for a week of nature and wild games. This years theme was Medieval. The request was for a camp graphic and crests for the 4 competing teams. The names of the teams are created by the staff and gleefully push the boarders of disgusting (especially when I had to do some image research for BOILS!). The graphic ended up being very much a video game to me, I must have been channeling my Super Mario Brothers with a Men In Tights twist. The crests were hand drawn, scanned, then redrawn in the computer using a Wacom tablet (their my favorite!).
